Maldives Master welcomes 26 divers on board with spacious modern comfort, providing the best Maldivian diving experience.

The liveaboard is a 37m, steel-hulled vessel that boasts three roomy double cabins and ten twin cabins. She features an indoor dining area, a bar, and a sky lounge, as well as a Jacuzzi. A shaded outdoor lounge area can be found on the mid deck, plus four different sun decks: a viewing deck located at the front of both the mid deck and upper deck, an open-air deck on the top deck, and an ocean deck at the stern of the boat, all providing comfortable seating and loungers.

The ocean deck is a unique feature allowing guests to relax in the open air while close to the water. On many evenings the floodlights will illuminate the water just off the ocean deck to attract plankton which brings the manta rays and whale sharks. There have been many close sightings of feeding mantas and whale sharks. Have your camera ready.

One of the most outstanding features of Maldives Master is the custom-built dhoni (diving support vessel). This 19m dhoni is spacious, fast, and equipped with all the modern conveniences that divers want. Each diver has their own station with plenty of space to store their gear and kit up, and the dhoni crew is ready to assist. During the journeys to and from the dive sites, you can ascend the small stairs to the top deck to enjoy the sun and stunning views. There is a toilet with a shower located inside the main deck plus two handheld showers on the back deck, and separate camera and equipment rinse tanks. A fast engine, two generators, and two compressors with a nitrox membrane system mean you will enjoy a first-rate diving experience in the Maldives.

The Maldives Master liveaboard has a variety of 7 and 10-night itineraries. In the event it is not leaving from Malé, the boat will connect with an internal flight from Dharavandhoo (northern itinerary), or Laamu (southern itinerary).

The Central Atolls scuba diving itinerary takes you to some of the best dive sites around the central Maldives atolls. While we wish to show you the very best diving possible, a number of factors determine which locations we visit on each trip.

During your liveaboard cruise, you will have the opportunity to dive a variety of locations around North and South Malé, North and South Ari, Rasdhoo and Vaavu Atolls. Dive sites that we visit can change from one trip to the next depending on itinerary duration, environmental conditions and other factors.

Number of scheduled dives:

  • 7 nights: Up to 17
  • 10 nights: Up to 26

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the number of dives indicated above is fulfilled, this is only indicative, and not guaranteed. Many factors can hinder the vessel’s ability to reach or remain at a specific area and may therefore affect the number of dives possible.

Safety and dive briefings are conducted in English. Please note: this itinerary will involve diving in currents, some of which can be very strong.

The following is an example of the day-to-day itinerary.

Day 1: Meet the crew at Malé Airport at 12:30 or 16:00 for embarkation. Once all guests are on board, the crew will conduct boat orientation and safety briefings followed by dinner. There is no diving on embarkation day.

Full diving days: We typically offer 3 dives a day on full diving days, scheduled as follows unless travelling distances or other circumstances dictate otherwise:

  • Light Breakfast followed by a briefing & Dive 1
  • Full Breakfast, relaxation period, briefing & Dive 2
  • Lunch, relaxation period, briefing & Dive 3*
  • Snack, relaxation period
  • Dinner
  • **if a sunset or night dive is offered, the schedule will be slightly amended.

Day before disembarkation: For your last day of diving there are usually two morning dives* before the boat heads back to port after lunch. *Guests are kindly asked to check their flight departure times to ensure a minimum of 24 hours between their final dive and flying.

Disembarkation Day: Breakfast on board, followed by disembarkation and transfer to the airport at 08:00.

Here's what our clients say about us!

  • I've been using these guys since 2008, and every single trip has been awesome. Only thing I need to worry is to get to airport in time. They have wide experience of dive destinations and there's always an option to pick. Strong recommendation!

  • The team at Diveplanit were tremendous help for my recent trip to Palau. The trip was a bit last minute, and bookings were filling up, so I appreciated Claire’s patience and first-hand knowledge as we tried to find the right combination of dates, flights and operators. Unsurprisingly, the trip was spectacular and ticked off multiple bucket list experiences.

  • I have been using Diveplanit for several years now and just recently on a liveaboard trip to Komodo where there was a change of port arrival and Claire helped with the air travel changes and all went smoothly. Superb trip and organisation. Highly recommend.

  • Michelle is a legend. I didn't know how difficult it could be to organise travel and diving in Vanuatu! Having been there, I can only wonder at the organisation and care that went into making my trip special. There was even a cancelled flight that meant a rearrangement of activities on a couple of days. But it all went seamlessly. I would highly recommend Diveplanit.

  • Michelle was fantastic in helping with my recent PNG excursion. I got straightforward and detailed advice, and nothing was too much trouble. I had some package tweaks after committing to the initial trip, but the changes were no problem. There's no question whom I'll contact for my next South Pacific itinerary.

  • Had a fabulous trip diving at Ningaloo, all organised from the other side of the world by Claire at Diveplanit. When the airline cancelled my flights and I would’ve been stranded, she rescheduled them for me on a Sunday! That’s 7-star rating! 🙏 🥰
