When you book with Diveplanit Travel Pty Ltd – a dive travel agency that has been delighting diving guests for over 20 years – these are the terms of our contract with you.

Our experienced international dive travel consultants will discuss your inquiries and forward comprehensive quotations as requested by email or phone. Your reservation is not confirmed until we receive the required deposit. After receipt of full payment you will be sent travel documents which describe the service(s) that have been arranged for you.

All travel documents are non-transferable. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo identity holder, as some carriers will deny carriage if the name varies and the booking may be cancelled. It is your responsibility to provide our consultants with the correct information as required.

These are our general or most typical payment terms:

    • Deposit of 30% due at the time of booking.
    • Full payment is due at the latest 30 days prior to commencement of earliest travel service.
    • Bookings under AUD 1500.00, and bookings received less than 30 days before trip commencement require full payment at the time of booking.

PLEASE NOTE: Some resorts and liveaboards request higher deposits and earlier final payment. Any special terms which override these terms are noted on your invoice.

General: Our travel consultants provide their expert advice to plan and create your itinerary free of charge. For involved multi-destination itineraries you may be asked for a research fee of AUD 250.00 up front. This fee will be credited to your dive booking with us.

Airfare: All airfares incur a ticketing fee of a minimum of AUD 25.00/person.

Amendments: Any changes to confirmed reservations, including ticketed flight reservations, incur an amendment fee of AUD 250.00/person, in addition to fees charged by airlines or operators.

In most cases, we issue invoices in the currency of the destination. We apply your payments to your invoice in whatever currency you make them at the spot exchange rate at time of receipt.

We accept payment via funds transfer and cards. Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) payments are usually free or incur low fees. For Card payments we use TravelPay. When using this service and paying by credit card surcharges apply as follows:

  • Mastercard – 1.4%
  • Visa – 1.4%
  • American Express – 1.8%
  • Diners Card – 2.5%
  • International Credit Cards – 3%

  • Card payments are processed in Australian Dollars.
  • Cards from non-Australian banks are processed as overseas transactions and as such may incur additional currency exchange and other service fees as applied by your credit card provider.
  • If paying via TravelPay, please ensure you enter the Reference which is on your invoice; usually {name} {date} {resort/liveaboard}
  • Merchant name that appears on credit card statement will be: ZEN*TA Diveplanit Travel
  • The Payment Processing Fee (credit card fee) charged directly by TravelPay is not refundable under any circumstances, including on refunds.
  • Clients not wishing to assume these additional charges should choose the funds transfer option.

These are our general or most typical cancellation terms for Diving, Dive Trips, Dive Cruises, Resorts, Tours and Accommodation, when you request to cancel:

    • Cancellation 31 days or more before commencement of service: Sliding scale refund as applied by the service provider, less a service fee of AUD 250.00/person.
    • Cancellation 30 days or fewer before commencement of service: No refund.
    • After commencement of service: No refund.

PLEASE NOTE: Some service providers have more restrictive cancellation procedures than those stated above. Any special terms which override these terms are noted on your invoice.

Air tickets, when you request to cancel:

    • All airlines charge Cancellation Fees or Change Fees after tickets are issued.
    • Unless stated otherwise on your invoice tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid passports, visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility. If you need information regarding visa and other travel document requirements for your trip please let us know.

We also recommend you take out travel insurance, which can cover you for uncertainties such as the need to cancel the trip, accidents or illness during travel, lost luggage and even legal liability.

Dedicated Diving Insurance: We also encourage you to consider specialised Diving Insurance from the likes of DAN or another trusted organisation. Organisations like DAN specialise in helping sick and injured divers all over the world.

Please note that at the current time we are not in a position to take bookings from individuals in countries which are on the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) sanctioned countries list, nor do we offer any tours within any of these countries.
