Facilities & Meals

The vessel includes an indoor salon, dining area, and a shaded sundeck with seating. A camera setup area is provided, with charging limited to designated stations rather than inside cabins.

Meals are served at set times between dives and include a mix of Indonesian and international dishes. Drinking water, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and a limited selection of beer and wine are available.

Activities

Diving structures the day, with multiple dives scheduled depending on itinerary length. Evenings are generally low-key, with briefings, marine life discussions, or free time.

Staying Connected

Internet access is limited and may not be available for most of the trip due to the remote operating area.

We Think. . .

Raja Ampat Aggressor operates across Raja Ampat and nearby regions in eastern Indonesia. The area lies within the Coral Triangle and is known for reef systems, strong tidal movement, and varied underwater topography.

Dive locations include exposed reef edges, channels between islands, and more sheltered sites. Conditions change with tides, affecting current strength and site selection.

Diving Location Features

Diving in Raja Ampat includes reef slopes, pinnacles, and channels. Many sites are influenced by tidal current, ranging from mild to strong. Visibility is generally good, though it can vary depending on current and plankton levels.

Marine life includes reef fish, macro species, and pelagic visitors. The mix of currents supports both smaller species and larger schooling fish.

Dive Services

Diving is guided, with multiple dives scheduled daily. The number of dives varies by itinerary length, with longer trips offering higher dive counts.

Nitrox is available for certified divers. Dive briefings cover entry points, current direction, and dive profiles. Equipment support, tanks, and weights are provided onboard.

Dive planning is flexible, with adjustments made based on sea conditions and diver experience.

Dive Sites

Dive sites are selected based on route, weather, and tidal movement, covering different parts of Raja Ampat and nearby regions.

Reef Slopes & Coral Sites – Sites with dense coral coverage and varied reef fish. These dives are often less exposed and may offer longer bottom times.

Channel & Drift Sites – Current-driven dives where water movement brings in larger species. These sites may require negative entries and controlled drift techniques.

Pinnacles & Seamounts – Submerged structures rising from deeper water. These areas attract schooling fish and pelagic species, especially when current is present.

Sheltered Bays & Macro Sites – Protected areas used when conditions are stronger elsewhere. These dives focus more on smaller marine life and slower dive profiles.

Extended Route Areas (Lembeh / Derawan) – Some itineraries include additional regions with different conditions, including macro-focused environments and mixed reef systems.

  • The team at Diveplanit were tremendous help for my recent trip to Palau. The trip was a bit last minute, and bookings were filling up, so I appreciated Claire’s patience and first-hand knowledge as we tried to find the right combination of dates, flights and operators. Unsurprisingly, the trip was spectacular and ticked off multiple bucket list experiences.

  • Michelle is a legend. I didn't know how difficult it could be to organise travel and diving in Vanuatu! Having been there, I can only wonder at the organisation and care that went into making my trip special. There was even a cancelled flight that meant a rearrangement of activities on a couple of days. But it all went seamlessly. I would highly recommend Diveplanit.

  • Michelle was fantastic in helping with my recent PNG excursion. I got straightforward and detailed advice, and nothing was too much trouble. I had some package tweaks after committing to the initial trip, but the changes were no problem. There's no question whom I'll contact for my next South Pacific itinerary.
