Extra Divers Australia is a full-service dive operation based on Christmas Island in Australia’s Indian Ocean with a boat that takes up to 16 divers moored at the Wharf in Flying Fish Cove.
Extra Diver offers 5 and 10 day dive packages, or as many or as few days as you like. Shore dives in Flying Fish Cove and optional night dives will also be available.

The Extra Divers Dive Centre is located right in the middle of Settlement, with cafés, a supermarket and Christmas Island Tourism Office on one side and the best pub and a selection of great accommodation on the other side.
Divers Villa
Divers Villa is a refurbished English colonial house situated on the remarkable rocky coastline of Christmas Island. The Villa is conveniently located in a quiet area in the heart of Settlement with restaurants, shops and a supermarket within walking distance. The Extra Divers Centre is a ten minute walk along the coastal path. Divers Villa is a shared villa with sea views and containing 4 separate bedrooms (some with an ensuite bathroom). There are shared bathroom facilities, access to the common air-conditioned open living, dining and kitchen area, and is surrounded by a large garden that stretches all the way around the villa. The four bedrooms can sleep between 6 to 8 people and each room has its own split system air conditioning.
The deluxe bedroom with private lounge is located at the front of the house, next to the living and dining area, and has a private bath. It has a king-size bed and a wardrobe, next to the bright salon, which is separated by frosted glass doors. The saloon overlooking the ocean has a comfortable lounge sofa that can be converted into a double bed. The bathroom with shower / WC is just off the lounge space. The deluxe bedroom with living room and bathroom is about 50 m².
On the back right side of the house is the superior bedroom (approx. 45 m²) with its own bathroom. The room is furnished with a king-size bed (or 2x Singles), wardrobe, desk and sofa in the sunny alcove. The sofa can also be converted into a double bed for children or additional guests.
The standard bedroom is approximately 20 m² in size and features a king-size bed (or 2x Singles), wardrobe and desk. The standard bedroom has access to a modern bathroom across the hall. This bathroom is shared with the fourth bedroom.
The economy bedroom (approx. 10 m²) is located on the back of the main corridor opposite the standard bedroom. It has a queen size bed and an antique wardrobe shelf. Guests in the economy bedroom share the bathroom with the standard bedroom.
The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances including a gas stove, electric cooker, coffee machine, toaster, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and microwave, so guests can cook up a storm. WiFi is included at the Villa free of charge.
Seaspray Villa
This Villa was originally the servants quarters to the Divers Villa and is reminiscent of the British colonial years in South East Asia. Located next door to the Divers Villa, the Seaspray Villa is a spacious one bedroom studio apartment style accommodation facility with a kitchen, bathroom, and wardrobe space. With beautiful sea views and excellent privacy, guests can enjoy a relaxing stay in this bright and light flooded villa with high concrete walls and gable roofing to keep the room cool in the warm tropical climate.
Extra Divers offers the full gamut of SSI courses including TDI Tech Diving courses, though PADI courses are also available on demand. At the dive centre you’ll find full sets of brand new dive gear – including dive computers – to hire and for sale.
The custom-build dive boat (surveyed for 18) with a diver limit of 16, has been recently refurbished before its transfer to Christmas Island. The twin-engine modern boat with toilet and covered dive deck is able to access dive sites all around Christmas Island, such as Rhoda Wall, West White Beach Cave and Perpendicular Wall, with ease.
