Diving Location Features
Diving in Raja Ampat includes reef slopes, pinnacles, and channels. Many sites are influenced by tidal current, ranging from mild to strong. Visibility is generally good, though it can vary depending on current and plankton levels.
Marine life includes reef fish, macro species, and pelagic visitors. The mix of currents supports both smaller species and larger schooling fish.
Dive Services
Diving is guided, with multiple dives scheduled daily. The number of dives varies by itinerary length, with longer trips offering higher dive counts.
Nitrox is available for certified divers. Dive briefings cover entry points, current direction, and dive profiles. Equipment support, tanks, and weights are provided onboard.
Dive planning is flexible, with adjustments made based on sea conditions and diver experience.
Dive Sites
Dive sites are selected based on route, weather, and tidal movement, covering different parts of Raja Ampat and nearby regions.
Reef Slopes & Coral Sites – Sites with dense coral coverage and varied reef fish. These dives are often less exposed and may offer longer bottom times.
Channel & Drift Sites – Current-driven dives where water movement brings in larger species. These sites may require negative entries and controlled drift techniques.
Pinnacles & Seamounts – Submerged structures rising from deeper water. These areas attract schooling fish and pelagic species, especially when current is present.
Sheltered Bays & Macro Sites – Protected areas used when conditions are stronger elsewhere. These dives focus more on smaller marine life and slower dive profiles.
Extended Route Areas (Lembeh / Derawan) – Some itineraries include additional regions with different conditions, including macro-focused environments and mixed reef systems.
