Sea Bees Diving

Sea Bees Diving have two dive resorts, with pool and training facilities, at Chalong (down-town Phuket near the pier), and Khao Lak – also near the pier. They also have a dive centre right on the beach in Nai Yang (close to the airport). The Sea Bees Diving resorts, both called Palm Garden Resort, are very conveniently located both to their vessels, and local amenities which are within walking distance. This means getting up later in the morning and leaving the dive centre at your convenience, especially if you want to hang around for a “post-dive” drink!

Sea Bees diving operate a number of vessels including:

• MV Excalibur II – day trips from Chalong (Phuket), south to Koh Dok Mai group and Racha Yai / Noi
• Trinity Speedboat – day trips from Chalong (Phuket), to Phi Phi sites and Koh Mai Dok sites, and HinDaeng&HinMuang
• MC Stingray – day trips from Khao Lak west to the Similan National Park
• MV Marco Polo – 2 to 6-day liveaboard trips to the Similans National Park from either Chalong or Tap Lamu depending on itinerary.

No matter how many (or few) days you want to dive, or even if you want to learn to dive, Sea Bees Diving is a reputable dive company that has a variety of options to suit.

The Sea Bees Diving centres are very conveniently located close to the jetty from which their boats depart. This is particularly useful in town down Phuket where even a short journey can take time because of the traffic. The Nai Yang dive centre is both close to the airport and beach.

Palm Garden Resort, Chalong

The Resort, set in a tropical garden, with a long pool, is a short distance to dive centre and the main jetty, where all dive trips from Phuket start.

Each of the 24 bungalows is comfortably furnished, with air conditioning, TV, minibar, safe, charging station, en-suite bathroom with hot water shower. The private terrace is a peaceful place to enjoy your breakfast, and savour the morning sun. The resort’s cosy restaurant offers delicious meals and snacks, or you can simply enjoy a refreshing tropical cocktail as you sunbathe by the pool.

WiFi is available and at the reception, you can book tours, rent motorbikes or cars and get some good local tips from our English speaking staff.

Palm Garden Resort, Khao Lak

The Resort comprises ten bungalows located around a large pool with waterfall and Jacuzzi. Each is comfortably furnished, with air conditioning, TV, minibar, safe, charging station, en-suite bathroom with hot water shower. The restaurant offers a wide selection of mouth-watering Thai and International dishes, as well as a large assortment of delicious cocktails.

The dive centre is part of the Palm Garden Resort, so you can plan the best way to visit the Similan Islands with a friendly and knowledgeable staff directly. Conversely, there is plenty to see around Khao Lak too, and the staff can organise everything for you, or organise motorbike or car hire for you to explore the vicinity on your own.

Sea-Bees Diving offers a range of training courses, from a choice of training academies including PADI, SSI and BSAC with all dive centres having dedicated classrooms and 3m pools in the resorts.

Day trips and multi-day trips depart daily to advertised destinations and include transfers from their resorts, or other local resorts, weights, tanks, soft drinks, and meals – lunch and/or breakfast depending when the trip is. They are very mindful of dive times and surface intervals. They dive in small groups and offer nitrox on all vessels.

The Boats are big and spacious, all dives are guided and you can enjoy a beer on your trip back to port.
