Tasik Divers – the resorts dive centre – is a PADI Project AWARE “Go ECO” operator, and offers daily dive trips to the Bunaken National Park – a 60-minute boat ride away.
Resort Facilities
All meals can be enjoyed in either the Bunaken restaurant or on the terrace, overlooking the gardens and the pool. A delicious choice of European and Indonesian cuisine is served. Accommodation
The resort’s 34 rooms are in two categories: the Pool View Rooms and the Sea View Cottages. Twenty standard Pool View Rooms are conveniently situated around the large free-form freshwater swimming pool. Some have inter-connecting doors, ideal for families. For those looking for a more romantic hideaway, the Sea View Cottages offer more privacy and look out onto the seafront, affording a beautiful view across the jetty into the horizon.
All rooms and cottages have full air-conditioning, mini bar, safety deposit boxes, ensuite bathrooms, cable television, IDD phone and coffee/tea making facilities.
Tasik Divers, a PADI dive centre, is located on the resort’s premises. The dive team is headed by an experienced PADI dive instructor assisted by a local, knowledgeable team of divers. Their highly trained, experienced and friendly dive team lives for the diving so each one is the ideal buddy for your Tasik diving experience. At Tasik Divers you can discover the best of North Sulawesi’s diving: Bunaken National Park, Lembeh Strait and the Bangka Archipelago.
Dive Service
In addition to the daily boat dive trips, PADI dive courses are offered in several languages.
Rental equipment and 12L (80 cuft) aluminum tanks are available at the Dive Shop, with Nitrox available at an extra charge. A well-equipped camera room is also available.
Daily 2-tank dive trips to the famous Bunaken National Park are offered. They use two 20m long diving boats with sundeck, lounge, toilet, storage space for cameras, emergency & first aid kits, DAN Oxygen System, radio, GPS and separate dive deck. The journey takes about 50-90 minutes depending on the dive sites chosen. The dive shop also offers 3-tank boat trips to the further afield dive sites of Lembeh Strait and Bangka and Gangga Island for groups (at extra cost).
The resort has a great house reef. Starting from the jetty stairs, you can discover lion fish, anemone fish, sea horses, pygmy seahorses, octopus, nudibranchs and colourful corals. There are also options to include mandarin fish spotting night dives. Tasik Divers offer small groups of 4 divers to 1 guide.
Dive Sites
Bunaken National Park offers some 25 dive sites spread around 5 different islands. The health of the reefs, the incredible biodiversity, and the variety of terrain (the east and west sides are very different) suited to wall and drift diving means you will run out of time before you run out of dive spots.
