Spotted Unicornfish

Olive brown body with a broad based tapering horn on the forehead. Very narrow fins along the body (compared to most surgeons) and white, slightly round-ended tail.

Mimic Surgeonfish

Greeny-brown body with dark blue dorsal and anal fins; white mouth, and black band running from mouth to gill cover. Orange patch behind the pectoral fin.

Clown Unicornfish

Most easily recognised by the two keels, which are bright orange/yellow, and clown-like face. Vivid pale blue lines at base and edge of dorsalfin, orange anal fin. (Note the Mimic which looks similar doesn’t have the double keel).

Unmistakably Dory – small, but surgeonfish shaped ie, with narrow dorsal all the way along the back and matching fin along the belly. Electric blue, with a black pattern starting from the eye. Yellow tail with black margin.
