How to Get There
Romblon Island is reached by ferry from Batangas Port or Lucena Port, with regular overnight and daytime services. Additional ferry connections are available from other islands within Romblon Province. Most travellers arrive via Manila, travel by road to Batangas or Lucena before continuing by sea. From Romblon Port, the resort is approximately a 15–20 minute drive by private transfer.

Diving around Romblon Island takes place within the Verde Island Passage, an area known for exceptionally high marine biodiversity. The underwater landscape includes coral reefs, sandy slopes, muck environments, seagrass beds, vertical walls, caves, canyons, and offshore channels. Depths at most sites range from 5m to 20m, with several deeper walls and specialty dives available for experienced divers.
Marine life is diverse and often rare, making the area particularly appealing to macro and super macro enthusiasts. Common encounters include nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses, frogfish, ghost pipefish, crustaceans, reef fish, turtles, eagle rays, and occasional pelagic species. Water temperatures typically range between 26–30°C, with average visibility of 20 meters or more. Currents are generally mild, though some sites are influenced by tidal flow.
Dive Services
The Three P Beach Resort operates a small, experienced dive centre focused on personalized guiding and small groups. Diving is conducted year-round, with groups organized based on experience level and interests, including macro-focused, wide-angle, night, and blackwater dives.
The dive center maintains over 100 aluminium tanks in 12L and 15L sizes, with DIN and INT (yoke) valves available. Tanks are filled using two Bauer compressors and one Coltri compressor, all regularly inspected and maintained. Rental equipment is available in limited quantities and should be requested in advance.
Diving is supported by a fleet of five purpose-built dive boats—Kaeline, Isobel, Kierstyn, Fiona-Marie, and Lauranne. Smaller boats accommodate 4–5 divers, while larger boats carry 8–10 divers, ensuring efficient access to nearby sites. Private guides, private spotters, and private boats can be arranged on request.
The dive centre is SDI/TDI accredited and follows established international safety standards. The nearest decompression chambers are located in Batangas, Cebu, and Manila.
More than 40 dive sites are accessed around Romblon Island and nearby islands, including Logbon, Alad, Cobrador, and Tablas. Sites range from shallow reefs and protected sanctuaries to walls, muck slopes, and offshore channels.
Romblon Island sites such as Talisay, Lunas, The Rope, Anchor Bay, and Sawang Slide are well known for muck and macro diving, with frequent sightings of flamboyant cuttlefish, mimic octopus, blue-ringed octopus, frogfish, rare shrimp species, and a wide variety of nudibranchs. Reef and wall dives like Agnay Fish Sanctuary, Agpanabat Canyons, Corazon, Magnificat, and San Pedro Sanctuary offer coral formations, gorgonians, turtles, schooling fish, and occasional sharks.
The house reef, accessed directly from the beach, features sandy areas, seagrass beds, and coral blocks and is frequently used for dusk and night dives. It is also suitable for snorkeling.
Specialty dives include blackwater diving in the Romblon Pass, where vertical migration brings pelagic and larval species into the water column at night. Advanced sites such as Tablas Island’s Blue Hole, Gorda Wall, and Cavayan Cave feature dramatic topography, caverns, and deeper profiles. With low diver traffic, it is common to dive many sites without encountering other groups.
