Join Nigel Marsh for an incredible week of diving the subtropical reefs of Japan. The area the group will be exploring is south of Tokyo around Chiba and the Izu Peninsula, as this is the best area to see a large variety of marine life that is endemic to Japan and seen nowhere else. Over seven days we will be doing shore dives at Osezaki, a hotspot for macro biodiversity with a backdrop of Mt Fuji, and the Izu Ocean Park, seeing many unique sharks, rays, morays, fishes, nudibranchs and invertebrates.

We’ll also spend two days of boat diving off Chiba and doing the Shark Scramble, an amazing site where hundreds of banded hound sharks and red stingrays swarm around divers as they are hand fed. As with all photo group trips Nigel is on hand to improve your photos with daily tips, feedback and presentations.

Our package includes:

8 nights accommodation in 3-star properties in Tokyo, Tateyama, Osezaki and Jogasaki
All meals excluding dinner on Day 1 and Day 8
2 days of 2 tank boat dives at Chiba Bommie Shark Scramble
3 days of 2 tank shore dives at Osezaki
2 days of 2 tank shore dives at Izu Ocean Park
All dives include air-filled tanks, weights, boat & local guides; transfers from local hotel on dive days.
English speaking tour/dive guide will escort the group from Haneda Airport for the duration of the itinerary.
Return airport transfers from Tokyo Hotels
Return Economy flights on JAL from Sydney with 30kg baggage included

Elements of this trip are purchased in JPY and trip price may be revised if the rate changes by 3% or more from AUD 1.00 : JPY 93.00. Airfare is based on current schedule instant purchase fare and will be confirmed 10 months prior to departure. Trip price may be revised if YOY fare increase exceeds 10%. Any changes requested after the initial deposit incur an AUD 250 change fee. Any changes resulting in a reduction of invoice value of more than 50% are considered a cancellation.
