The Royal Evolution is a modern steel-hulled dive liveaboard operating in the Egyptian Red Sea, purpose-built to deliver safe, comfortable, and professionally guided scuba diving experiences across the region’s most iconic offshore reefs. Measuring 39 meters in length with a wide 8.6-meter beam, the vessel cruises efficiently throughout the Red Sea, offering excellent stability and range for extended dive itineraries.

Designed by divers for divers, Royal Evolution accommodates up to 24 guests in spacious ensuite cabins, supported by a highly trained 17-member crew. With advanced safety systems, quiet-running engines, and thoughtfully designed social and dive areas, the vessel has established itself as a reliable choice for Red Sea liveaboard diving in Egypt.

Resort Facilities & Meals

Royal Evolution functions as a floating dive hotel, featuring a fully air-conditioned indoor saloon with bar, dining area, and entertainment system. Meals are served buffet-style in a spacious dining room designed for all guests to dine comfortably together, offering a mix of international and regional cuisine suitable for active divers.

Activities

Between dives, guests can relax on multiple decks, enjoy panoramic sea views from the sundeck, review underwater photos, or socialize in shaded lounge areas. The layout provides both communal spaces and quiet corners, making longer Red Sea itineraries comfortable and unhurried.

Staying Connected

While liveaboard routes venture far offshore in the Red Sea, limited connectivity may be available depending on location. Guests are encouraged to treat Royal Evolution trips as a digital detox focused on diving and relaxation.

We Think . . .

For divers seeking access to Egypt’s offshore Red Sea dive sites with a strong emphasis on safety, space, and professional dive operations, Royal Evolution delivers a well-balanced liveaboard experience suited to both recreational and advanced divers.

Royal Evolution operates throughout the Egyptian Red Sea, one of the world’s most celebrated diving regions. Known for warm water temperatures, exceptional visibility, and thriving coral reefs, the Red Sea supports over 300 coral species and more than 1,000 species of fish.

How to Get There

Most Royal Evolution liveaboard trips depart from Hurghada or Port Ghalib, both easily reached via international flights through Hurghada International Airport (HRG) or Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF). Transfers to the marina are typically arranged as part of the liveaboard package.

Itinerary Preview

Depending on the route, Royal Evolution explores classic Red Sea regions including the Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef, Rocky and Zabargad Islands, St. John’s Reef system, and remote areas near the Egypt–Sudan border. These itineraries are accessible only by liveaboard and showcase the Red Sea’s most pristine diving.

Double Suite – Main Deck

The Double Suites are located on the main deck and feature a queen-size bed with panoramic sea views. Each cabin is fully air-conditioned and includes an ensuite bathroom, entertainment system, desk space, and ample storage, offering a premium option for couples diving the Red Sea.

Diving Location Features

Diving in the Red Sea, Egypt, is defined by dramatic reef walls, offshore pinnacles, vibrant coral gardens, and strong pelagic encounters. Royal Evolution itineraries focus on remote dive sites where visibility often exceeds 30–40 meters and marine life remains largely undisturbed.

Dive Services

Royal Evolution is supported by three experienced dive instructors and a dedicated dive crew. Each diver is assigned a personal gear locker, and the dive deck includes camera workstations, rinse tanks, and organized entry points for smooth dive operations.

Nitrox is widely available and strongly recommended to extend bottom times while maintaining conservative dive profiles. The vessel supports recreational, technical, and rebreather diving with appropriate equipment and gas blending systems onboard.

Dive Sites & Routes

  • Brothers Islands (Big Brother & Little Brother) – These iconic offshore islands are famous for steep walls, strong currents, and regular encounters with oceanic whitetip, hammerhead, and grey reef sharks. Wrecks such as the Numidia and Aida add historical interest.
  • Daedalus Reef – Located far offshore, Daedalus Reef rises dramatically from deep water and is best known for schooling hammerheads, manta rays, and pristine hard coral formations.
  • Rocky & Zabargad Islands – Near the Sudanese border, these remote islands feature untouched reefs, dramatic drop-offs, and frequent sightings of large pelagics in crystal-clear water.
  • St. John’s Reef System – Situated in the Deep South of Egypt, St. John’s offers an extensive maze of reefs, caverns, swim-throughs, and coral plateaus, ideal for photographers and advanced recreational divers.
  • Elba Reef (Egypt–Sudan Border) – Rarely visited, this region offers massive coral fans, minimal diver traffic, and the chance to encounter large pelagic species. Select itineraries may include deeper technical dives such as the wreck of the Levanzo

  • The team at Diveplanit were tremendous help for my recent trip to Palau. The trip was a bit last minute, and bookings were filling up, so I appreciated Claire’s patience and first-hand knowledge as we tried to find the right combination of dates, flights and operators. Unsurprisingly, the trip was spectacular and ticked off multiple bucket list experiences.

  • Michelle is a legend. I didn't know how difficult it could be to organise travel and diving in Vanuatu! Having been there, I can only wonder at the organisation and care that went into making my trip special. There was even a cancelled flight that meant a rearrangement of activities on a couple of days. But it all went seamlessly. I would highly recommend Diveplanit.
