Ambon Divers is a boutique dive resort offering a mix of macro and exciting drift diving in the heart of the Coral Triangle. Ambon is one of the best macro dive destinations in the world. A relatively new resort, and sister resort to the well-established Alor Divers Resort. There are 2 room types; Superior Bungalows (4) and Deluxe Bungalows (4), accommodating a max 16 guests.
Just a few steps from the beach, the restaurant serves hearty and diverse family style meals. The kitchen team is dedicated to delighting your taste buds with primarily local dishes. Ambon and its long history of spice trade will surprise you.

Ambon Divers resort has two room types and a total of 8 bungalows.
Sea view
In the heart of lush nature, there are 4 Deluxe Bungalows spaced apart, promising intimacy, tranquility and comfort. The semi-outdoor bathroom, unique and atypical, will immerse you in this invisible but present world, thanks to the songs of birds and cicadas.
Garden view
On the left side of the property, concealed within the abundant vegetation, you will find 4 Superior rooms. These rooms are ideally arranged to accommodate groups of friends, family stays, or solo travellers.
You can leave your equipment at the dive centre from the beginning to the end of your stay. They will be rinsed, dried, and stored every day.
Equipment includes:
- Aluminum 12 and 15 L tanks, single DIN or yoke valve.
- O2 DAN case and first aid kit on each boat
- Oxygen and first aid kit at the dive center
- Mares regulator and BCD, fins, masks, snorkels
- 2 boats for 5 divers with 40cc engines
- 1 boat for 8 divers
- Hyperbaric center in Ambon
Photographers and videographers can, in peace, view and work on their images, recharge their devices in a room provided for this purpose.
Ambon is an emerging muck dive destination, already ranked among the top 5 muck dives worldwide. All Indonesian muck fauna can be found in Ambon… and even more!
Sight-after species include flamboyant cuttlefish, mimic octopus, wunderpus, blue-ringed octopus, numerous species of nudibranchs and seahorses, ghost pipefish, various species of crustaceans, such as the zebra crabs, harlequin shrimps, Coleman’s shrimps, a large number of scorpionfish, including many species of rhinopias, sea moths (pegasus fish), a lot of different frogfish, including the famous psychedelic frogfish.
In addition to macro, outside of this bay, numerous pristine reefs, caves, and arches, all home to abundant marine life.
The drop-offs of Depan Tupa, Namatu, covered with vibrant soft & hard corals, gorgonian sea fans and sponges and a wide variety of reef fish. Encounter barracudas, fusiliers, trevallies, sweetlips, anthias, angelfish, bumphead parrotfish and turtles.
The drift dives of Pintu Kota, Tanjung Mahia, Tanjung Kilang, and Tanjung Hukurila are the passage for pelagic species like tuna, Napoleon wrasse, and reef sharks. It’s also possible to encounter manta rays, and for the luckiest divers, hammerhead sharks.
