Bastianos Froggies Lembeh Resort is situated on the west coast of Lembeh Island with a picturesque view of the strait, and first class dive guides with outstanding skills in spotting critters with their “magic eyes”.
The island lies directly opposite the port city of Bitung, which is the 2nd largest city in Northern Sulawesi after Manado. Between Bitung and Lembeh Island is the Lembeh Strait, famous for its amazing muck diving conditions. You can see more macro subjects here than you ever dreamed possible. Accommodation at Bastianos Froggies Lembeh consists of traditional wooden cottages featuring Western-style bathrooms with hot water.
Guests often enjoy a day trip to nearby Tangkoko National Park, where you can see some unique topside creatures including black macaques tarsiers, hornbills and kingfishers.

The journey from the airport or Manado city center to Bitung harbor by car typically takes approximately 1.5 hours. From Bitung, a 15-minute boat ride will take you to Bastianos Froggies Lembeh on Lembeh Island.
Superior Beachfront and Hillside Rooms
There are 5 Superior Beachfront and 7 Superior Hillside rooms with AC available and they are wooden accommodations with a private veranda and an en-suite bathroom consisting of a shower, with hot water and a western-style toilet.
Standard Hillside Rooms
There are 4 Standard Hillside rooms with AC and two 2-bedroom bungalows. Each room has an en-suite bathroom consisting of a shower, with hot water and a western-style toilet.
The area of Lembeh is rich in dark volcanic sand, which is partially responsible for the rich marine life. Diving around Lembeh Strait is mild, easy, and shallow. Most of the dive sites here are in 15m and the maximum depth is around 25m. Lembeh’s low surge and mild currents make it ideal for macro and super-macro photography. Visibility is usually never great but is always good enough for macro. While most famous for macro, Lembeh also has a decent number of wrecks and a couple of wide-angle spots to the north.
Bastianos Divers has been a PADI Dive Center member since 2004. The team at Bastianos Divers, Lembeh are professional with many years experience diving in the area. All dive guides are locals from Manado and the surrounding area and know the diving conditions very well. All of them are talented people with outstanding skills in spotting critters with their “magic eyes”.
The dive centre has two compressors and three dive boats, A dedicated camera room for divers to keep and store their underwater cameras or housing, a working table for assembling before and after dive, to be used as a recharging station for digital compact cameras or sports cameras. There is a drying room for storing your wet equipment after staff rinses them for you. 1st aid oxygen in every dive boat and one stored in the dive shop at the resort.
