The lush and luxurious Atlantis Dumaguete Resort lies on a long peaceful stretch of beach near Dauin just south of Dumaguete. Home to the Atlantis Dumaguete Dive Centre with its PADI CDC and excellent underwater photographers facility, it is just a short trip to some of the most renowned dive sites in the Philippines – Apo Island, Siquijor Island and of course the local Dauin Marine Sanctuaries.

Dumaguete has a wealth of places to explore; spend the morning shopping at a local market and lapping up the local culture, take a city tour, or enjoy a day in the mountains and take in the lush tropical countryside, natural pools, and waterfalls. Atlantis Dumaguete Resort is located directly on the beach just south of Dauin, near Dumaguete, Negros.
The transfer from Cebu airport starts with a trip to the southern tip of Cebu which takes approx. 4-5 hours by minibus, followed by a short ferry to Negros (about 30 min.) and a further transfer (approx. 45 min.) to the hotel by car. Charges apply for the Cebu transfers.
Alternately, there are Express ferries from Cebu to Dumaguete. The direct services are currently not operating and you would need to transfer via Tagbilaran which could also take the best part of a day.
Transfers to the resort are available from Dumaguete domestic airport and Cebu International Airport.

The resort’s own Toko’s Restaurant is right on the beach and will provide you with a unique dining experience. Using fresh local products and flavours but made to an international standard, there is an ever-changing blackboard of lunch and dinner menus; choose from an extensive list of cocktails and shakes or enjoy the best coffee in town.
There is a huge private pool, with a shallow (1m) as well as a deep (3m) area that is filled with non-chlorinated water and sheltered by trees.

Dive Service
Diving is very flexible with local dives offered at 9am, 11am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm (night dives available every day). There is a choice of dive site each time and dive groups have no more than 6 people. Day Trips to Apo Island, Balicasag, Siquijor and Sumilon (Dumaguete) are offered as well as day trips (three tank days).

Camera Room
Atlantis Dumaguete has one of the most spacious air-conditioned Camera Facilities you will find in any dive resort worldwide. There are 21 individual cubbyholes to store equipment with a work surface 80cm deep with a shelf running the length of the work surface for battery chargers and eight fluorescent under-shelf lights. Five air-guns and 16 sets of power sockets in both 220 and 110 volts are positioned around the room.
The facility has 42-inch HD flat-screen TV mounted on the wall with both HDMI and USB connections so guests can show off their photos and video on the big screen at the end of a day’s great diving!
Atlantis Dumaguete also offers Fluoro Night Dives, where using a special filtered blue light and a yellow mask visor you can see first-hand the magic of fluorescence.
Dive sites
The reefs around Atlantis Dumaguete are home to more than 3000 species of fish and 448 species of coral. Combine unbelievable muck-diving with pretty coral reefs and shoals of schooling fish. The largely intact underwater world around Negros attracts divers and snorkelers. The dive sites are accessible all year round, and good to excellent visibility with generally low to medium currents can be expected.
Highlights are the dive sites around Apo Island with intact coral formations and varied diving in shallow coral gardens and beautifully decorated walls. Interesting underwater landscapes with sea fans, soft corals and feather stars offer a home for many colourful nudibranchs, moray eels, frog fish, seahorses, clownfish and sea snakes. About 450 different species of hard and soft coral have been found here. Atlantis travels to Apo almost daily even if there are only 2 divers on-board. The trip takes only 20-25 minutes and 3 dives are offered. In addition to Apo Island, the protected dive site of Masaplod offers an abundance of fish life.
