SPUMS Annual Scientific Meeting May 2025 Bali

With the Theme of: OXYGEN: Too much, Too little, or just right – the SPUMS ASM 2025 will be held at the Ramayana Resort Conference Centre, in Bali in May 2025.

Conference Venue

Ramayana Candidasa is a spacious oceanfront resort located in eastern Bali, with Balinese décor, a variety of room types, panoramic views of the ocean and tropical and tranquil Zen Gardens.

Breakfast is included within the room rate for all rooms. Lunches are included on conference days as part of the conference package, as are the Welcome Canapes on Sunday, served poolside and the Gala Dinner on Friday to be held in the Zen Gardens.

An optional evening meal package is also available for purchase with your room and diving. On Wednesday evening, this will be a special Balinese themed buffet, with a Balinese cultural performance. On other evenings, a standard evening meal buffet will be served.

Free flow mineral water will be included with all meals. Breakfast will also include tea and percolated coffee.

A vegetarian option will be provided for all meals. Vegan, Halal and Gluten-free options for individuals can be provided given sufficient notice.

All soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, barista coffees and speciality teas must be purchased.

Pricing for Children eating from adult meal options:

  • 0-2 yo = FOC
  • 3 – 11 yo = 50%
  • 11+ yo = adult rate


Trips to five different dive sites will depart each morning, returning in time for the conference afternoon sessions.

Sites include:

  • Tulamben: USAT Liberty Wreck and Drop Off, Kubu
  • Padang Bai: Blue Lagoon, Turtle neck and Jepun Site, Bias Tugel
  • Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan: Manta Point, Crystal Bay and SD Point
  • Candidasa: Gili Tepekong, Gili Biaha and Gili Mimpang
  • Amed: Japanese Wreck, Jemeluk Bay, Amed Wall and Pyramid Reefs
