Nukubati Great Sea Reef Resort
Nukubati Great Sea Reef Resort is an eco-island resort located on the North Coast of Vanua Levu, Fiji Islands. The island itself is part of an extensive coral reef system called the Great Sea Reef, the World’s third largest barrier reef system. With unparalleled access to the Great Sea Reef, the resort offers scuba diving and snorkelling for all levels. This boutique resort has only five traditional bungalows and we’d like to charter the whole resort just for SPUMS participants.

Accommodation
Experience breathtaking sunsets from the comfort of your traditionally designed bure, just metres from the beach at Nukubati Island.
The rooms are elegantly decorated in a simple island style, with a focus on comfort and relaxation. Louvred windows allow natural light to fill the rooms, creating a light and airy atmosphere. In keeping with our carbon negative manifesto, our rooms are not air-conditioned, and there are no televisions or phones to distract from the stunning surroundings. Disconnect to reconnect with the natural beauty of Nukubati Island and the Great Sea Reef
Meals
For over 30 years, Nukubati Great Sea Reef Resort has built a reputation for superb cuisine, featuring traditional South Pacific recipes with a modern twist. The specialty is seafood, freshly caught locally, and served alongside tropical fruits and vegetables organically grown in the resort’s own gardens. Their commitment to sustainability extends to their food as well, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients, herbs, and spices that celebrate the vibrant flavours of the South Pacific.
The restaurant is able to cater to all guests’ individual dietary requirements, including vegetarian and non-seafood meals.
In addition to the resort’s culinary offerings, Nukubati Great Sea Reef Resort boasts an extensive wine cellar, stocked with premium Australian and New Zealand wines. Relax and enjoy a drink at the bar in the Pavilion, or take advantage of our bar service, available throughout the island.
Diving and Activities
Nukubati has an in-house experienced dive team, led by local legend Leone Vokai, and will take you on a journey through the vibrant and diverse marine life of the Great Sea Reef. They will tailor the diving schedule to the tides and currents, to include a range of activities, including reef dives, drift dives, wall dives, ensuring a varied but enjoyable experience. Two dives per day are included, so there will be a minimum of 10 dives, possibly more depending on flight times.
All non-motorised water activities – kayak, stand-up paddleboard, and snorkelling gear – are included in the package.
Dates
Two dates are offered, which connect nicely with the ASM dates. For the Pre-ASM you would fly into Labasa via Nadi and out via Suva and on to the ASM. The Post-ASM would be in via Suva, then homeward via Nadi. We can help ensure you have exactly the right flights depending on your origin and book them for you as required.
