Pro Dive Lord Howe Island’s Photo Shootout
Pro Dive Lord Howe Island’s Photo Shootout is an awesome way to work on your underwater photography skills, spend some quality time on one of the world’s most beautiful islands and maybe win some pretty awesome prizes.
Major prizes include a dive holiday on Lord Howe Island for two people including return flights (domestic), one week’s accommodation at Leanda Lei Apartments and 10-dive package, as well as a Humpback Whale Tour in Tonga with Scott Portelli.
The Lord Howe Island Photo Shootout Package is $2,950 and includes:
- Return flights from Sydney
- Airport transfers
- 10 nights’ accommodation staying at Leanda Lei Apartments
- 10-Dive Package with Pro Dive Lord Howe Island
- 2 Night Dives
- Morning refreshments on dive days (tea, coffee, biscuits)
- Morning tea at the museum to kick off the event
- Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Golf Club
During the week, 2nd – 12th June 2017, you can attend workshops with underwater photographers Scott Portelli and Michaela Skovranova to learn more about your photography or tweak what you already know. Workshops will include practical and in classroom techniques.
Scott Portelli is an award-winning wildlife, nature, aerial and underwater photographer with a background in journalism and media. His photography has been highly awarded internationally and is recognised for its unique ability to capture rare moments in time.
A member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) he is regarded as a leading professional in his field. Scott has spent thousands of hours in remote locations across the globe filming and photographing wildlife, the underwater environment and wild places.
There will be prizes awarded at the Gala Dinner in the following categories:
- Wide Angle
- Black & white
- Video (under 2 mins)
- Endemic species
- Split (Over/under shot)
